Thanks to Sam NorthEast’s innings, Glamorgan managed to score 795 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Apart from him, Chris Cook also played an unbeaten innings of 191 runs.
There was also a record partnership of 461 runs for the sixth wicket between Sam Northeast and Chris Cook. NorthEast added 410 runs from 450 balls with the help of 45 fours and three sixes.
Sam NorthEast had played 191 games prior to this game. He scored 11,556 runs in 324 innings at an average of 39. He had 26 centuries and a half century to his name. But so far he has not scored a double century in his 15 years of cricket. His highest score before this match was 191 not out.

Sam NorthEast is 32 years old and plays at the intermediate level. Despite the ongoing matches, he did not get a chance to play in England. However, with the help of just one tour, he joined the ranks of greats like Don Bradman and Brian Lara.
This is only the eleventh time in first-class cricket that a player has scored more than 400 runs. This work was first accomplished by AC McLaren in 1895. The last time West Indies champion Brian Lara managed to score 400 runs was when he played against England in 2004. So far nine players have registered their names in this list.
